St. Joseph's Primary School, Aldren's Lane, Lancaster
Mission Statement
Joseph's RC Primary School is an integral part of the Christian Community of St. Joseph's Parish in Lancaster.
To fulfil our duties as Christian educators, it is essential that parents, priests and teachers work together to give younger members of the Church the opportunity to learn about the faith of the Church as part of a full education within a Catholic environment. In this way, parents, priests and teachers provide opportunities for the child to be part of a loving, caring, Christian Community belonging to the family of God. Through the development of a lively enquiring mind and promoting a genuine understanding of life and our faith, the school aims to enable each child in our care to take his or her rightful place as a good Catholic who is a valuable member of society and well prepared for the next stage in his or her education. We aim to fulfil this mission by providing the highest standard of professionalism within the school and by delivery of the National Curriculum in a Catholic environment, so that each member of staff may realise his or her true potential. Our Lady's Catholic High School
Mission Statement
We the Christian people of Our Lady's, celebrate our individual gifts in mutual respect and work to grow in knowledge, faith and understanding as a caring, Catholic community.
Aims and Objectives
Our Lady's is an 11-18 Catholic Comprehensive school serving the Lancaster and Morecambe area, though children are also welcomed from South Cumbria and Garstang. Many pupils and staff play an active part in the life of the St. Joseph's and other parishes.
The school is supported by a very active Parent-Teacher Association. The PTA Secretary can be contacted via the school.
Our aim is to educate the whole person in an atmosphere of respect that allows pupils to grow in dignity and self-belief, challenges them to fulfil their true potential and encourages them to use their talents in the service of others. We aim to develop each pupil's spiritual and moral life, their intellectual, physical and aesthetic growth and their emotional and social talents. Parents are invited to telephone Mr. Webster to make an appointment to visit the school.
